Industrial Fabrication Services and Capabilities
Our custom fabrication services cover the full path from raw material to finished assembly. Depending on the material and application, work is done in-house or through our qualified manufacturing partners, always to your specification and at a competitive price.

Laser Cutting and Water-Jet Cutting
Laser cutting services handle steel plates, backing plates, and precision profiles, while water-jet cutting takes over where material or heat sensitivity demands it. A common example from our friction work: we laser cut a steel plate, cut the matching friction pucks, pads, or facings, and bond or rivet them into a complete ready-to-install assembly. One shop, one purchase order, one finished part.
Casting and Machining Services
Kor-Pak produces molded and cast components in aluminum, cast iron, and manganese steel, then machines them to final tolerance. Cast-and-machined work is a natural fit for crane wheels, brake drums, sheaves, and other heavy wear components where an OEM casting is obsolete or the lead time is measured in months.
Reverse Engineering Services
This is where Kor-Pak differs from a typical fabrication shop. When a component is discontinued, undocumented, or made by a manufacturer that no longer exists, our reverse engineering services recreate it. Send us the physical sample, even a worn or broken one. We measure, model, and produce an engineered replacement, and where the original design had a known weakness, we can improve on it with modern materials and tolerances.
Reverse engineering pairs naturally with our legacy brand parts support for lines like EC&M, Cutler-Hammer, and Westinghouse, where original drawings are long gone but the installed equipment keeps running.
Remanufacturing Services
The same capabilities extend into remanufacturing complete equipment. Rather than scrapping a gearbox, brake, control panel, or motor because one component failed, Kor-Pak restores the whole unit: machining and welding of cast and fabricated parts, new wear components, and testing before return. Brake remanufacturing feeds directly into our brake shoe relining and reconditioning service, and larger projects often grow into full crane modernizations.
Remanufacturing typically costs a fraction of replacement and avoids the lead time of new OEM equipment, which for legacy lines may not exist at any price.
